The first match for Maximum Impact Fighting’s MMA SHOWDOWN has been set! Krisztian Elmendorp (3-1 MMA) who fights out of Rikers Gym will be taking on the up and coming MMA rookie, Tom Crosby (1-0 MMA), from SABJJ. Elmendorp is no stranger to MMA having won 2 consecutive fights via TKO and submission before narrowly losing his next bout via decision. He quickly bounced back with a 1st round TKO victory in his 4th fight putting his record back in the winning column. Crosby has been a stand out on the Jujitsu circuit in recent years wining both state and national medals before entering the world of MMA. Crosby won his first MMA match interstate by defeating his opponent with a surprise arm bar in the 2nd round. Along with his 4th degree purple belt in Jujitsu, Crosby is known to be lethal off his back. Elmendorp, who is an accomplished wrestler, also possesses excellent stand up skills, and at 6′ 5″ he uses his long reach to down his opponents. With the skill set that both these men have, it’s set to be an exciting match up and both Elmendorp and Crosby prepare for the ultimate showdown at Maximum Impact Fighting’s inaugural event at Thebarton Theatre!
