MMA Showdown News: Final two MMA fights Announced!

FEATHERWEIGHT MATCH 65KG

Jerick Panes (Progressive BJJ) vs Dave Wang (ISOHEALTH)

 Phillipenes born Jerick Panes (MMA 0-1) who fights out of Progressive BBJ will be taking on ISOHEALTH’S Dave Wang (MMA 0-0).  Panes has one MMA fight under his belt, and his loss came from a doctors stoppage due to a cut he received in the second round. Panes has a solid brazillian ju-ijitsu game and is looking to use that to his advantage in this fight. Wang has competed on the Muay Thai circuit in Thailand and has a great stand up game. Wang will most certainly have the upper hand when it comes to the battle on their feet, but if it goes to he ground, the advantage would likely be in Jerick’s favour. This is a classic battle of stand up vs the ground game as these two fighters prepare for the ultimate SHOWDOWN!

WELTERWEIGHT 72KG

James McGlashan (Mildura Martial Arts) vs Yan Yurchenko (Toe2Toe)

In our final MMA match up we will see the débuts of two more young fighters.  James McGlashan (MMA 0-0) from Mildura Martial Arts will be fighting Russian born Yan Yurchenko (MMA 0-0) fighting out of  Toe2Toe. Both fighters are experienced jujitsu practitioners and have both been working on their stand up game over the past 12 months. These two are very evenly matched, having both competed in a number of jujitsu tournaments and will make for a exciting bout when these two face off come February 2nd at MMA Showdown.
